Night like tonight…

Nothing I'd like better than to get a big roaring fire going in the fireplace, crawl under a blanket on the sofa with you, and watch… whatever. Anything you'd like. My arm around your shoulders, my hand on your side… your head against my chest… our bodies pressed together for warmth… and because we just want to. I'd smell your shampoo and give you a squeeze. You'd turn those amazing eyes up to me, and give me a quick kiss before we both look back to the screen. It's getting late… you'd yawn, and turn it into the sweetest little hum… Maybe we'd both fall asleep here… you, in my arms… the TV still on, whatever we were watching forgotten… the room warmed by the fire as it slowly burns itself out…
